American Vintage, a contemporary fashion brand with a strong and recognizable identity, has entrusted Agilité, a Parella company, with the renovation of its 90-square-meter store located at 54 Redchurch Street, in the heart of Shoreditch.

Based on an architectural concept developed in-house by the brand, the project aimed to refresh the retail space while staying true to its creative vision, aesthetic codes, and the experience offered to visitors.

Agilité’s teams oversaw all aspects of the project: wall cladding, fire-rated ceilings, lighting, painting, wall tiling, HVAC, fire alarm systems, millwork, glazing, storefronts, exterior signage, mirrors, as well as the finishes for the back-of-house areas and flooring.

The project presented several coordination challenges, particularly with service providers hired directly by the client. The installation of the fire alarm system was a critical issue: the initial mounting work had to be completed before the walls and ceilings were closed off. Agilité therefore planned an alternative solution so that it could quickly mobilize a specialized team if necessary.

Once the client finally entrusted this project to Agilité, the teams were able to get to work immediately, finish the walls and ceilings, and then move on to the flooring and other trades, with minimal impact on the overall schedule.

This project demonstrates Agilité’s ability to support international retailers in transforming their retail spaces by balancing aesthetic standards, technical coordination, responsiveness, and adherence to delivery deadlines.

— Minimizing the construction site’s environmental impact by limiting unnecessary demolition and, whenever possible, prioritizing the preservation of existing elements
