Located just a few kilometers from Paris, the Vitry-sur-Seine site is one of Sanofi’s strategic research centers. A true center of excellence dedicated to oncology, immunology, and immuno-inflammation, it brings together research and bioproduction activities on a single campus in an environment subject to some of the highest technical, regulatory, and scientific standards.
For several years, Parella has been supporting Sanofi in the transformation of its office and research spaces. The projects focused on five iconic buildings on the site—Darwin, Gautier, Franklin, Pascal, and Magendie—with the goal of adapting the work environments to new uses while ensuring the continuity of scientific activities.
Our missions and ambitions.
— Programming studies and preliminary design studies to support the transformation of office and R&D spaces
— Design and implementation of renovations on vacant and occupied sites, while adhering to the operational constraints of an active science campus
— Complete renovation of nearly 5,000 m² of office space, including asbestos removal, HVAC, electrical systems, special fluids, and technical upgrades
— Design and installation of signage and window graphics to improve wayfinding, spatial clarity, and the user experience
— Construction of a 300 m² meeting center on the top floor of the Magendie building, designed and built while the site remained occupied
— Coordination of construction work in an environment with significant technical, regulatory, and safety constraints, ensuring the continuity of research activities
— Collaboration with on-site teams, real estate and workplace departments, the R&D department, business unit managers, and end users to develop solutions tailored to specific uses and scientific requirements
Managing a project on an active R&D platform means dealing with the unseen: vibrations, air quality, biosafety, and the continuity of multi-year experiments. Every intervention requires rigorous technical expertise and constant coordination with all stakeholders.
Through these projects, Parella supports Sanofi in the development of one of its most strategic research sites, balancing real estate performance, scientific excellence, and operational continuity to advance innovation in healthcare.
