For Knab, a digital bank based in Amsterdam, Parella designed a contemporary office interior that highlights the brand’s core values. The brief was to create a work environment that fosters and stimulates openness, positivity, engagement, and entrepreneurship. As a real estate agent specializing in offices and commercial spaces, Parella translated these ambitions into a sustainable office concept where collaboration, interaction, and focus take center stage.

Design and production

The project began with workplace consultations and co-creation sessions, during which Knab’s core values were translated into a clear workplace concept. The result was an office design featuring open collaboration areas, quiet focus spaces, and a central social hub that serves as the beating heart of the office interior. The work environment was designed as a communal space: a place where employees naturally meet and share their knowledge.

In collaboration with OOK Architecten, the design features a light, airy, and open layout with plenty of natural light and open meeting spaces. The materials and colors are warm and inviting, reflecting the organization’s informal and digital nature. The clubhouse-style setting fosters a sense of community and aligns with the operations of a modern online bank.

During the project, Parella oversaw the design and layout of the office interior.

Special attention was paid to traffic flow, acoustics, and ease of use, ensuring that the office is not only aesthetically pleasing but also functional for a young and dynamic team. As commercial real estate agents specializing in office space, we have created a work environment that fosters energy, focus, and collaboration every day.
